From the very first contact, we handle your case in an efficient and pragmatic manner. Open, respectful and transparent communication is key, both in terms of the content of the case and the financial aspect.
First Contact
At the first meeting, we review the nature and scope of the situation together. We inform you about how the office works and about the financial consequences of opening a file.
File Management
We make an assessment of the feasibility of the case as soon as possible. During the follow-up, we not only provide theoretical advice, but also assist you as best we can in a concrete and pragmatic manner.
Termination & Archiving
We make every effort to process each dossier on schedule and within a reasonable period of time. Each dossier is terminated and archived with due care and attention and in the strictest confidentiality.
Our Tariffs
DUX | LAW focuses on transparency when it comes to costs and fees. Our tariffs are always discussed with the client in advance.
Fees
With most dossiers our fees are calculated on the basis of time worked, in which the nature and complexity of the dossier, and experience and expertise of the lawyer in charge, defines the hourly rate.
In some cases the extreme urgency of an intervention and the achieved result will also be taken into account.
Depending on the nature of a dossier, the fees can also be based on a fixed amount or calculated as a percentage of the achieved outcome. A charge for administrative and secretarial costs will also be added to our fees. In principle these are fixed amounts for each letter, copy, etc.
At the start of each instruction we prefer to record any agreements in contract format, based on the model contract formulated by the Orde van Vlaamse Balies (OVB – Flemish Bar Association).
